I could tell Carl was looking for his fox and I knew it was in the other room. I said, "I think it's in the other room, Carl." I talk to Carl constantly throughout the day, casually. I say, "Hey Carl, what do you think about my new shoes? Pretty cool, huh?" and "Carl, you're not going to be able to get that bird, because it flew away, and you can't fly. I know it's not fair. I'm sorry." These aren't commands. They're one-sided conversations. So imagine my surprise when he then actually went into the other room, found the fox, and brought it back. What a dog!
