A shit sidewalk is a sidewalk upon which a dog has gone to the bathroom, its owner is a piece of filth and doesn't pick it up, then someone steps in it and scrapes it off all over the sidewalk instead of finding some grass or something. Then an entire section of the sidewalk is shitty. Shit spots all the way down, Stephen Hawking might say.
