If you ask someone how they're doing, mostly as a polite greeting, and the person feigns offense at the question because their life is going so well that they can't believe you'd even have to inquire, surely you've heard about how great things are going for them, the person you never see or speak to, turn around and walk away and never bother to think of that person again, for your sake.
